Review
Written/produced/directed by Viggo Mortensen. It details the relationship between a French-Canadian woman and a Danish semi-hermit (played by Mortensen).
I was slightly mixed on this. The characters are interesting and well-played, but I thought the story was ultimately fairly slight. That slightness was hidden a bit by the film jumping around in the timeline. Bits of the plot were also fairly similar to the miniseries “The English”, which I think covered the material a bit better (although wasn’t all that similar in tone).
I think it’s worth worth watching, but isn’t my favourite film ever.
